- Participate in the implementation of the BSC initiatives within the BU
- Design, prepare, and develop architectural and interior concept and construction drawings using AutoCAD
Analyse infrastructure conditions, produce accurate visual documentation, and incorporate client and stakeholder requirements - Engage clients and internal stakeholders to confirm project requirements, present concepts, obtain inputs and approvals, and manage RFQ and RFI processes to enable timely decision making
- Compile, coordinate, and submit complete, compliant construction drawing packages, scopes of work, specifications, requisitions, RFQs, recommendations, and approval documentation
- Plan, coordinate, and manage project execution activities including site briefings, project schedules, risk identification and mitigation, site handovers, and project close out
- Supervise construction activities to ensure delivery in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, budgets, and timelines; conduct snags, quality inspections, and progress reporting
- Manage furniture and equipment procurement processes, including specification development, ordering, inspections, installations, and project sign off with clients
- Ensure accurate, timeous project reporting (planned, actual, and forecast), maintain quality checks on all documentation, and resolve post completion client and bidder queries
- Attend to stakeholder or customer requests
- Communicate to clients and keep them updated of progress
- Collaborate with teams using digital tools
- Collaborate with the Administrators in drafting RFQ and other procurements documents for review and inputs
- Manage own development and performance as per the generic competency plan, training plan and individual performance contract
- Comply with the necessary training regulations, applicable policies and other training initiatives
Participate in the BUs transformation, culture, diversity and employment equity initiatives
- Ensure compliance with AGSA policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures
- Manage supply chain processes within scope of work
- Assist in providing information on payments to suppliers and service providers
Minimum requirements
- This position requires a minimum qualification Diploma Architectural technology/ Interior Design or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Architectural/ Interior Design with Experience and technical proficiency in modeling software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or similar tools - 2D modeling for building infrastructure projects. 3D AutoCAD, Revit modeling will be an added advantage.
